New Units Will Offer Retail and Class A Commercial Space

CORALVILLE, IA, December 18, 2012 – Main street at the Iowa River Landing will feature a series of two-story, mixed-use buildings with retail on the ground floor and commercial space above. Von Maur (scheduled to open summer 2013) will anchor the main street, which will include several new and unique businesses such as Charlotte’s, as described above. Phase I of the retail main street is slated to break ground this month. The space is expected to be ready for tenant build-outs by June 2013, with occupancy scheduled for fall of 2013.

The units above the retail businesses will provide “Class A” commercial office space up to 25,000 square feet, an ideal fit for a larger business or multiple business units looking to consolidate. The units’ proximity to the new University of Iowa medical facilities offers opportunities for various supporting businesses.

The addition of professional office space to the Landing will enhance the area’s overall appeal for anyone looking to live, work, and play in one vibrant community. New main street workspace will also increase daily foot traffic for area businesses opening within the area.

The buildings along the Landing’s retail main street will be built by IRL Properties, a development group knowledgeable about the Iowa River Landing area as their River Bend development on Quarry Road was the first commercial building to open within the project.
