The Iowa River Landing Sculpture Walk, established along the Iowa River Trail in 2013, features sculptures that blend Iowa’s rich tradition of visual arts and literature. Each sculpture was uniquely crafted by Iowa artists, and each piece was inspired by a work found in the Iowa Writer’s Library, a collection of approximately 800 books written by former students, graduates, and faculty of the nationally renowned Iowa Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa, located in the Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center.

The sculpture walk is meant for both art aficionados and those who just want to appreciate the culture while taking a relaxing walk.

Want to make a day out of it? There’s tons of shopping and dining options for the whole family – including Lululemon, Anthropologie, Von Maur, 30Hop, Konomi Grill, and La Vecina Restaurante. After the Sculpture Walk you can pamper your newly found Zen even further at Aveda Salon or Skin Body Soul Medspa. Curious about the inspiration for a particular sculpture?
