The popular IRL will welcome six new local and national retail businesses in fall of 2021.

Coralville, IA – The Iowa River Landing (IRL), a revitalized neighborhood district located off Interstate 80 in Coralville, will welcome six new businesses to its 180-acre mixed-use development this fall.

Once designated as an industrial park, the IRL is now booming with new businesses, attracting both local and national retailers and restaurants to the neighborhood. The new stores and restaurants joining the Iowa River Landing are Anthropologie, R7 Reclaimed, Cookies & Dreams, Cielo, The Silo Team Store and The Iowa Athletic Club. The new storefronts are a welcome addition as Xtream Arena begins its first full season of events.

“Part of the IRL’s charm is the diversity in the neighborhood. You can truly live, eat, shop, work, and play in the district, and we’re excited to see that continue to grow and thrive. Especially as Xtream Arena welcomes its first concerts and professional hockey season this fall,” said IRL Property Manager, Deanna Printy.

Anthropologie, an upscale women’s retailer, will host the grand opening of its second Iowa storefront on Wednesday, Oct. 13. The retailer will be located next to another new store, Cielo, which is locally owned and focuses on self-care essentials. In addition, R7 Reclaimed, a Midwest-owned retail shop featuring home and lifestyle goods, recently opened its doors down the block along with Cookies & Dreams, another Midwest-owned business known for “really, really, really good cookies.”

The Silo, a team store for the Iowa Heartlanders, recently opened its doors inside Xtream Arena, just in time for its first professional hockey game. Meanwhile, the Iowa Athletic Club, set to open later this fall, will offer a stylish hangout spot for arena attendees to eat, drink and watch the game. Xtream Arena will host its first-ever concert with Toby Keith performing on Thursday, Oct. 14.

“So much planning went into making this a destination neighborhood where the community and families can come to enjoy events, shop, eat and spend time,” said Printy.
