The summer fun is about to begin in the Iowa River Landing! We’re very excited to announce the first round of events happening in the Landing this summer.

Beginning June 4th, the local chapter of Miracles in Motion will be offering horse-drawn carriage rides through the Iowa River Landing. The rides will be available all four Thursdays in June and will run from 6:30-8:30 PM.

After you’ve taken your scenic tour of the Landing, the fun will continue with Backpocket Brewing’s weekly outdoor movie nights.

The carriage rides are sponsored by the Watts Group and MidWestOne Bank, with all proceeds going to the national chapter of Miracles in Motion.

About Miracles in Motion

Miracles in Motion is a non-profit organization devoted to increasing the health and well-being of individuals with physical, emotional and social challenges. This unique program utilizes therapeutic equestrian techniques to enhance their students rehabilitation and therapy routines. These services include hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, grooming lessons, and more. Locally, Miracles in Motion partners with students from such organizations as the Children’s Center for Therapy, the Wounded Warriors Project, and other at-risk youth and populations.

You can learn more about this wonderful organization by visiting their website.

We’re looking forward to kicking off an exciting summer with this fun event! And as always, be sure to share your photos with us using #IowaRiverLanding.
