Anthropologie to Open in the Iowa River Landing This Fall

Anthropologie, an upscale women’s retailer, is opening its second Iowa location; its first in Eastern Iowa. The nearly 9,000 sq. ft. store will be located in the Iowa River Landing (IRL) in Coralville next to J.Jill and lululemon. Construction is set to being late spring/early summer, with a grand opening slated for Fall 2021.

Anthropologie, part of the URBN portfolio of brands that includes popular retailers Urban Outfitters, Free People and others, is known for its sophisticated, yet understated women’s fashion, stylish accessories and eclectic home décor.

Describing its customer as “a smart, creative woman who seeks beauty wherever she goes,” Anthropologie has inspired a loyal and growing base of fans who have helped the company open more than 200 stores worldwide. Each store offers a unique experience to customers, with curated product displays, original window art and lush greenery to create an engrossing, uplifting atmosphere.

The Iowa River Landing has steadily attracted in-demand but hard-to-get stores like Anthropologie and Trader Joes, many of whom opened their first Eastern Iowa location here in the growing mixed-use neighborhood. Anthropologie’s arrival will further solidify the Iowa River Landing as Iowa’s premier shopping destination.
