What do walks through nature, Halloween costumes, parades, dogs, and 1-day exclusive shopping sales all have in common? They are all part of the fun at the Iowa River Landing’s Octoberfest on Saturday, October 23! From 11am – 4pm CT the whole family, including fur friends, are invited to participate in The Retrieving Freedom Walk, Halloween Dog Costume Parade, and IRL Octoberfest.

Retrieving Freedom Walk
11am-12pm CT
Retrieving Freedom Inc. is a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to providing Veterans and children with Autism with trained service dogs. Support this great cause by registering for the one mile Retrieving Freedom Walk through the Iowa River Landing Wetland Park. A $20 donation gets you a spot for the walk, a t-shirt, and a free beer after the walk. And of course, bringing your dog to join to the walk is encouraged!
Halloween Costume Dog Parade
12pm-1pm CT
Switch out the walking shoes and harnesses for Halloween costumes and participate or watch the Halloween Costume Dog Parade! The parade will end at Von Maur, but the fun certainly doesn’t.
